Esthetic surgery to the head and face

Face lift

Face lift is a cosmetic surgery procedure usually done to tighten and smooth out the facial skin to take on a younger and more relaxed look. Face lift can visibly reduce signs of aging that appear on the brow, around the eyes, cheeks, nose, mouth, chin and neck.

How is it performed?
At our Polyclinic we use the latest technique known as MACS-lift, which produces better results than an older technique for facial skin tightening known as SMAS face lift. The principle of the MACS-lift is that it does not only tightens the facial skin but also the muscle structure using a special procedure to produce a longer-lasting result.

Ear correction surgery

Cosmetic ear correction or otoplasty is a procedure designed to correct a congenital ear deformity such as malposition of earlobes or auricles. The deformity can be unilateral or bilateral (symmetric or asymmetric).

This surgery is most commonly performed on children at age 4-14 years, although it may be done on adults, too. The procedure itself is painless for the patient, is done under local anesthesia and usually takes about an hour. The incision is placed behind the ear, so the scar remains invisible.

Eyelid correction

Blepharoplasty is a surgery designed to eliminate excessive skin and fat in the eyelids. The procedure is usually done to correct drooping of the upper eyelid, as this may produce the partial loss of visual field. Blepharoplasty of the lower eyelid eliminates pouches under the eyes.

How does it function?
On the previously marked line, excess skin and fat of the upper eyelid are eliptically removed with a scar in the eyelid crease. The incision in the lower lid is placed just below the eyelashes, and if there is no excess skin, fat tissue is removed without leaving an external scar.

Platysma correction

Loosening of the platysma (the muscles under the chin) in the anterior portion of the neck results in the formation of two nonesthetic vertical folds along with the sagging skin of the neck.

How is it performed?
The surgery can be performed under local or general anesthesia, and entails the loosened muscle mobilization and connection of the anterior edges in the front line. At the same time, fat deposits causing the double chin can be eliminated, too. The incision is placed in the invisible zone, under the chin. The surgery takes 45 minutes, and the suture is removed in 8 days.
