Breast lift

Breast lift

Pregnancy, breast-feeding and the force of gravity ultimately affect the appearance of female breasts. Due to loss of skin elasticity, the breasts lose their shape and firmness, and begin to sag. Mastopexy is a surgical procedure to give the breast a new shape, firmness and position.

How long does the procedure take?
This procedure takes 1-2 hours to complete. The patient is under general anesthesia.

What is the recovery time?
A full recovery follows in 6-8 weeks, and physical exertion should be avoided for 3-4 weeks.

How long will the results last?
Breast lift is considered a permanent solution to the problem. Depending on patient’s age, however, the breasts may gradually sag again with the passage of time.

Are there any side effects?
Swelling of the breasts is a common side effect in the first weeks following the procedure.
